SINCE the Tatmadaw regained full control of Falam Township on 25 April, civil servants and their families who had been temporarily displaced in Kalay returned to Falam Township by vehicle yesterday.
They were warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Falam District Management and Administration Committee, departmental staff, township leaders, and residents.
In order to ensure peace and stability in the area and to facilitate the normal operation of regional development programmes, departmental offices, and administrative mechanisms, the State Government and the Tatmadaw facilitated the return of civil servants and their families temporarily displaced in Kalay Township by vehicle for the first time on 6 May.
Similarly, to carry out rehabilitation and relief efforts in Chin State, 16 types of relief and construction materials, including 10 tonnes of cement, 20 tonnes of CI sheets, 10 tonnes of galvanized iron sheets, and eight tonnes of rice, have been delivered to Falam, Tiddim, and Tonzang townships for distribution to 600 households.
