The Myanmar Red Cross Society said it will provide livelihood assistance grants to families whose socioeconomic conditions were affected by the Mandalay earthquake.
Under the programme, 650 households in Sagaing Township that met the required criteria have been selected to receive support, with the beneficiary lists being announced from 18 May.
An MRCS official said the assistance aims to help earthquake-affected residents resume long-term livelihood activities and rebuild their socioeconomic lives through a systematic assessment process.
The selected households include families from Kyaukta Village, Taungnyo Ywathit Village, Moeza Ward, Htonebo Ward, Minlan Ward, and Zayya Ward.
According to the MRCS, Red Cross staff and volunteers conducted field assessments to verify actual needs and select eligible households based on established criteria. Beneficiary lists were also publicly displayed in wards and villages to ensure transparency in the selection process.
