Officials conducted field inspections yesterday to monitor the progress of rural development initiatives in Thanatpyin and Alangapo villages, implemented by the Hlegu Township Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development.
During the visit, U Kyi Saw, Head of the Yangon Region Department of Rural Development, U Tin Aung Than, Head of the Hlegu District Department, Daw Thandar Soe, Head of the Hlegu Township Department, and a team of engineers visited Thanatpyin Village. They inspected the installation of security fences around two village ponds to ensure access to clean drinking water and long-term sustainability. The fencing projects measure 750 feet in length and five feet in height, and 780 feet in length and five feet in height, respectively.
Subsequently, the regional head and officials proceeded to Alangapo Village to examine the construction of an inner-village concrete road aimed at improving local transportation. They viewed the progress of the road, which measures 428 feet in length, eight feet in width, and six inches in thickness. During the inspection, officials instructed the village committee members and staff to strictly adhere to designated quality and engineering standards, ensure timely completion, and prioritize workplace safety.
