The Bank of China Scholarship Programme held its fourth anniversary ceremony yesterday morning at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Yangon. The event was attended by Deputy Minister for Education Dr Zaw Myint, Chinese Ambassador Ms Ma Jia, the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM), as well as teachers and students.
Speeches were delivered by the Chinese ambassador, the deputy minister, and the CBM deputy governor, while the vice-president of Bank of China (Hong Kong SAR) extended words of appreciation. A memorandum of understanding on Chinese language training was also signed by the chairperson of the ELBC Language Centre and the director of the China Foundation for Rural Development (CFRD) Myanmar Office.
