The Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) has been allowing investments made in Yuan Renminbi to facilitate investments and meet investor needs, in addition to the US dollar, when submitting proposals for permits and endorsements of the businesses, according to MIC’s news bulletin 1/2026.
Investors bringing foreign capital in US dollars can conduct transfer payments for investments through authorized dealers (private banks) in US dollars. Those bringing yuan can also do the same, MIC announced.
