The Department of Historical Research and National Library, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, is inviting submissions of poems, articles, stories, and papers for a special magazine commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council.

The ministry will hold a ceremony in May at the Maha Pasana Cave, Siri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill, Mayangon Township, Yangon.

Interested writers are invited to submit their works according to the following guidelines: page limits (A4 size)- 1 page (poems), five to seven pages (articles), 10 pages (stories), 15 pages (papers); formatting – Microsoft Word, Pyidaungsu font, size 14, line spacing: 1.5, margins: 1 inch round; the pledge for original creations, no copies, and unpublished work. Authors must include a signed declaration confirming the work is their own, along with a brief personal biography, and granting permission for use. Authors whose works are not selected will not be informed.

Applicants must submit both a hard copy and soft copy (Word+PDF) including full name, national registration card number, three colour photos (1.5 inches by two inches), address, and phone number, either in person or by post to the Department of Historical Research and National Library, Office 35, Nay Pyi Taw, through 067 3408384 and 067 3408437, and email: dhrnlm23@gmail.com by 20 March (Friday).
