The agreement signed between the Russian government and the Myanmar government for the abolition of visa requirements for citizens of both countries has been effective from 27 January, the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Myanmar announced.
Citizens of the two countries are allowed up to 30 days visa-free travel without purposes of permanent residency, studying or working, said the embassy.
The total length of their stay shall not exceed 90 days in a calendar year, said the embassy.
Foreign Affairs Ministers of the two countries signed the agreement on mutual exemption of entry visa for ordinary passport holders on 28 October 2025.
