BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 3:30 pm MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centred at about 770 nautical miles west-southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 60 nautical miles southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 nautical miles north of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka). It is likely to move nearly northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts (India) during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 5:30 pm MST today, the severe tropical storm “KOTO” over the South China Sea is downgraded into a tropical storm and it is centred at about 200 nautical miles northeast of Nhatrang, Vietnam. It is likely to reach East coasts of Vietnam on 2 December 2025.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF 1 December 2025: Light rain are likely to be isolated in upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60 per cent. Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon and northern Shan states and generally fair in the remaining regions and states.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in the Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway and Ayeyawady regions and Kayah and Shan states.
