Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” Condition
According to the observations at 3:30 pm MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centred at about 765 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 50 nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 180 nautical miles North-Northwest of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka).
It does not intend to move towards the Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Cyclonic Storm is coded as yellow stage.

The Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” is located at Latitude 11.5 degree North and Longitude 80.6 degree East, centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 998 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 45 miles per hour at 3:30 pm MST today.

It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts (India) during next 24 hours.
General Caution
Sea will be moderate in the Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.

People should be aware that due to the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” domestic aviation, near-shore and offshore fishing vessels, and ships off and along the Myanmar coasts and offshore are also advised to take precautions.
