ACCORDING to the observations at 5:30 pm MST today, monsoon will be strong over the Andanman Sea and Bay of Bengal, due to the unstable air condition over the Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway and lower Sagaing regions and Kayah and Chin states and fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Bago, upper Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan states with regionally and isolated heavy falls from 11 August 2025 to 16 August 2025. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.

People should be aware of the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, lightning strike, lightning, hail, flash floods and landslides in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flights and irrigation dams.
