ACCORDING to the observations at 5:30 pm MST today, monsoon will be strong over the Andanman Sae and Bay of Bengal, due to the unstable air condition over the Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah and, Chin States and fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States with regionally and isolated heavy falls from 13 August 2025 to 17 August 2025. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

People should be aware of natural disasters, such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, lightning strikes, lightning, hail, flash floods and landslides in hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flights and irrigation dams.
