THE Ministry of Hotels and Tourism will hold a “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” photo contest to mark World Tourism Day on 27 September 2025 in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ministry will hold an award ceremony for the photo contest and showcase winning photos at the event.
The objectives behind this photo contest under the theme of Tourism and Sustainable Transformation are to implement sustainable and systematic tourism development, foster tourism practices to adapt to changing tourism patterns, maintain cultural preservation, embrace cultural diversity and unity through tourism sector, and promote Myanmar’s tradition and customs, traditional clothing, religious beliefs and festivals of the ethnic people and cultural values.
During the award ceremony, K900,000 for first prize, K700,000 for second prize, K500,000 for third prize, K300,000 for fourth prize, K200,000 for fifth prize and K100,000 each for 20 consolation prizes will be awarded.
Individuals can send winning photos to the Yangon Region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism located in Botahtaung Township on 5 September 2025 (4 pm) starting from 6 August 2025.
