Led by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing, the high-level Myanmar delegation departed for Myanmar yesterday evening from Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia after concluding an Official Visit to Malaysia at the invitation of His Excellency Dato’ Sri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Officials from the Malaysian Government, led by Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Dato’ Sri Johari Abdul Ghani, together with Myanmar Ambassador to Malaysia U Aung Kyaw Moe, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Nyi Nyi Oo, and other officials, warmly saw off the high-level Myanmar delegation led by the President at the airport.
During the departure ceremony, the Guard of Honour took positions on both sides of the red carpet and saluted the Myanmar delegation.
Accompanying the President on the return journey were Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, U Min Naung, U Myint Kyaing, U Maung Myint, and U Tun Ohn, and Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers and other officials.
During the visit, the President met the Prime Minister of Malaysia and held bilateral talks, a press conference and discussions on cooperation. The two sides openly exchanged views and discussed ways to strengthen friendship and engagement between the two countries, increase investment and economic cooperation, and promote cooperation in various fields and sectors.
On arrival at the Nay Pyi Taw airport in the evening, the high-level Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing was warmly welcomed back at the airport by Vice-President U Nyo Saw, Vice-President Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, and officials from the Malaysian Embassy and Defence Attaché Office in Myanmar.
