Members of the Panel of Judges and experts must systematically carry out the evaluation process with transparency and fairness, basing their assessments on the discipline’s established artistic standards, traditional essence, artistic ability, presentation style, and rules and regulations, said Vice-President Nan Ni Ni Aye at the second coordination meeting of the Leading Committee on Organizng the 27th Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competition.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Culture, Hotels and Tourism in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, the Vice-President, who is Patron of the Leading Committee, said that contestants must be encouraged to preserve and adhere to the original essence and traditions of traditional arts, while also promoting the development of the creativity and artistic skills of younger generations.
Especially, the Vice-President stressed that special attention must also be paid to ensuring that the evaluation system is accurate and fair.
She underlined that it is necessary to document, preserve and distribute traditional Myanmar performing arts to new generations by applying digital technology. Leading Committee Chairman Union Minister for Culture, Hotels and Tourism U Khin Maung Soe and Secretary Deputy Minister U Aye Tun reported on the progress of the work process to hold the competition and plans.
Meeting participants discussed the preparations being undertaken by relevant sub-committees to successfully hold the competition, conducting camp training for the contestants and lists of subjects for competitions.
