PLANS are underway to send 46 people abroad who have proposed overseas employment after completing the People’s Military Service, Deputy Minister for Labour U Maung Maung Than told Pyithu Hluttaw on 2 October.

He responded to a question raised by Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Tint Wai from Dagon Myothit (North) Township, about the overseas employment plan for people’s military servants who have the desire to go abroad.

Among those who have applied for overseas jobs, the worker-sending process has been underway for 46: 15 for Thailand, 22 for Malaysia, two for Korea and seven for Japan. By connecting with licensed overseas employment agencies, the Ministry of Labour has focused on ensuring safe migration for them, said the deputy minister. — TWA/ZS
