A commemorative dinner marking the 62nd Myanmar Police Force Day was held at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening, attended by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing.
Also in attendance were the President’s wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla; Vice-President U Nyo Saw and his wife; Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi and his wife; Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe and his wife; Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo and his wife; Union ministers, Union-level dignitaries and their wives; the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman; senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives; deputy ministers; members of the diplomatic corps; departmental heads; the Chief of the Myanmar Police Force; police personnel; retired senior police officers; artistes; and other officials.
Upon arrival at the venue, the President, his wife and guests were warmly welcomed by officials before joining the dinner.
Music and dance performances were presented before and during the dinner by members of the Myanmar Police Force’s Police Band and Entertainment Branch, artistes from the Fire Services Department, the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Culture, Hotels and Tourism, the Myawady Entertainment Troupe under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare, and well-known national artistes.
Following the dinner, President U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife presented a floral basket and cash awards to members of the MPF’s Police Band and Entertainment Branch in recognition of their performances before cordially greeting the attendees.
