The 2026 Myanmar Fight 35 new-generation Myanmar Lethwei bouts, jointly organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, Traditional Myanma Lethwei Federation and Myanmar Martial Art Group (MMAG), with Myanmar Economic Holdings Public Company Limited as the main sponsor, were held at Theinbyu Gymnasium in Mingala Taungnyunt Township, Yangon Region, yesterday afternoon.
Ten bouts were contested in the event, featuring promising new-generation Lethwei fighters from various clubs.
Zeyar Naing of Bago Club defeated Yaw Ri of Nina Club after Yaw Ri retired in the second round following punches from Zayar Naing. Tiger King stopped Zwe Bo Bo Aung of Nline Club by knockout in the third round, while Naing Min Hein of Vanguard also secured a third-round knockout victory over Sai San Htoo of MK1.
David Ching of MK1 and Mon Lay of Zarti Myanmar, as well as Phyo Min Than of Bago Club and Tun Lin Aung of Smart Fight, fought through three rounds to draw. Kyaw Zin Naing of Zarti Myanmar won after Law Sai of MK1 retired in the second round due to injury. Kyaw Min Lwin of Unity Seven knocked out Aung Myint Myat of Vanguard in the third round, while Aung Aung Hein of Smart Fight defeated Toe Maung of Phyuyaung Thit by referee stoppage in the second round.
The bouts between Kaung Lin Set of Bago Club and Hein Htet Aung of Smart Fight, and between Waw Yaw Zet of Yoyar Kyar and Kyar Mann Hein of Smart Fight, went the full distance and ended in draws.
The event featured three-round challenge bouts, with each round lasting three minutes and a two-minute interval between rounds. — Bala/KZL
