Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thant Zaw Lwin, accompanied by the Chin State Minister for Natural Resources, donated funds to support the multipurpose use of the FBC Falam Baptist Church in Valai Ward, Falam.

He also attended the Sunday congregational service with local residents who are members of the Baptist church.

As Falam has become more stable and peaceful, local residents have begun returning to the town, while education, healthcare and government departments are operating normally to serve the people.

MPT telecommunications services have also been restored in Falam since 12 September. From 15 September, MPT Own Shop staff will assist residents in reactivating their MPT SIM cards where necessary. Mobile station CHN00001 in the town regained connectivity via VSAT at 12:12 pm on 12 September. Work is continuing to restore connectivity to mobile stations CHN00015 in Falam and CHN00150 in Tonzang.

Telecommunications equipment needed to restore MPT services in Falam and Tonzang as soon as possible has been transported from Yangon to the two towns by air and road.
