SINGER Phyo Myat Aung and actor Nay Min have been providing daily assistance to flood-affected residents in Ngathainggyoung Township and nearby villages in Ayeyawady Region. On 27 August, they donated K3.75 million and 80 bags of rice to 75 households in Kyoneta Village, along with K250,000 to the presiding monk of the village monastery.
They also donated K1.83 million to 61 households in Daunggyi Tawaw Village, K50,000 for medicines, 33 bags of rice and K1 million to the Dhamma Wepula flood relief camp, and K1 million to the Hinthada Brothers Philanthropic Association. Phyo Myat Aung expressed his appreciation to all donors and those who helped them along the way, saying that the merit from the donations would be shared with parents, teachers and all beings.
