ACTING on tip-offs, authorities searched a house on the bypass road in the Hona area of Kaunghmuton Ward, Muse Township, at around 10:15 am yesterday.
During the raid, security forces apprehended 31 individuals engaged in online fraud and gambling, including 18 Chinese male nationals, five Myanmar male nationals, and eight Myanmar female nationals.
Officials seized 422 smartphones of various models, 18 all-in-one computers, 20 desktop computers and related accessories, two Starlink satellite internet devices, two Wi-Fi routers, 24,500 Chinese yuan, one Lexus motor vehicle, two Crown motor vehicles, and three motorcycles of various models. Necessary investigations are currently underway, and strict legal action will be taken against the suspects in accordance with existing laws, while the seized operational equipment will be processed in accordance with official procedures. — MNA/TH
