The high-level Myanmar delegation led by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing, who was on an official visit to Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, departed from Minsk International Airport in Belarus at 8:20 am local standard time yesterday.

The President and party were seen off at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Mr Viktor Karankievch, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Sergey Lukashevich and Cabinet officials, the Belarusian Ambassador to Myanmar, Myanmar Ambassador to Belarus U Maung Maung Soe and officials.

The Guard of Honour taking position along both sides of the red carpet saluted the President.

The President arrived at Kyzyl International Airport in Tuva Republic, the Russian Federation, at 6:20 pm local standard time, where they were warmly welcomed by Head of Tuva Republic Mr Vladislav Khovalyg, officials from the regional government, Myanmar’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Myo Moe Aung, and relevant officials.

Two young women warmly welcomed the President and delegation members by draping them with commemorative scarves — a cultural tradition of Tuva expressing profound respect and honour to guests visiting the Tuva Republic. — MNA/TTA
