DAW KYU KYU HLA, wife of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Honorary Patron of the Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation, graced the ceremony to mark the 13th Anniversary of the Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation at M Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Myanmar National Committee on Women Chair and Union Minister for Women’s Affairs Dr Thet Thet Zin delivered remarks while Chairperson of the federation Dr Nanda Hmun extended greetings.
Artistes presented dances and songs, and a video clip on the activities of the federation during 13 years was screened.
Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Honorary Patron of the federation, presented honorary awards to the winners in the national-level competitions.
Daw San San Aye, the wife of the First Vice-President and Honorary Patron of the federation; Second Vice-President Nan Ni Ni Aye, and Daw Nilar, wife of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, gave awards to chairs of regions and states.
They visited the booths depicting documentary photos on movements of the federation displayed by regions and states.
The chairperson and vice-chairpersons led the annual meeting of the federation, focusing on the expenditures of the federation, the organizational setup of the federation, rules, the brief work procedures and financial statement. Financial assistance, notebooks of the federation and pamphlets were distributed to region and state associations.
The ceremony was also attended by wives of the Pyithu Hluttaw speaker and the Amyotha Hluttaw speaker, the wife of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Union ministers and their wives, State dignitaries and chairs and vice-chairs of partner organizations. — MNA/ TTA
