A ceremony to conduct an introductory briefing on the establishment of the Model Village Project and form a project committee for the 2026-2027 financial year took place in Thantaza Village, Kyutaw Village-tract, Htantabin Township, yesterday.
Htantabin Township Department of Rural Development Head Daw Cho Mi Aye met village elders and villagers in the village and explained the objectives, implementation processes and rules and regulations to be followed in forming the project committee, as well as matters requiring cooperation from the village. The villagers selected and formed a seven-member Model Village Project Committee through consensus to effectively lead and carry out project activities.
The project will commence implementation during the 2026-2027 financial year, focusing on six major areas including village infrastructure development, livelihood improvement, promotion of the rural economy, and establishment of a sustainable model village, with technical assistance and close cooperation from relevant departments and residents.
