THE Myanmar Earthquake Committee will organize the Earthquake Bootcamp 2026 in August for people to learn more about earthquakes, respond correctly in emergency situations, and gain practical training.
It will be held on 8, 15, 22, and 29 August at the Myanmar Earthquake Committee, Myanmar Engineering Council, Hline University Campus, Yangon. During this bootcamp, participants will be able to learn the causes of earthquakes and basic knowledge of disaster risk reduction, as well as emergency preparedness and safety measures to follow before, during, and after an earthquake.
Similarly, through team activities, discussions, and practical exercises, cooperation and leadership skills can be enhanced, and this will foster a greater understanding of the role of youth in building disaster-prepared and resilient communities. Therefore, those who are interested, as well as those who wish to learn experiences and knowledge through interactive discussions with experts, can apply regardless of age, and no prior experience is required.
