THE Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development inspected the implementation of income-generating activities under the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project in Thitseintpin Village, Ywangan Township, yesterday.
Ywangan Township Department of Rural Development Head U Thein Myat Htike and staff observed the farming, livestock breeding and trading activities being carried out with loans from the project’s revolving fund. He also met members of the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project committee to check whether monthly financial records had been properly completed and coordinated necessary measures to address any requirements.
The Mya Sein Yaung Village Project was launched in Thitseintpin Village with an initial fund of K30 million, enabling the revolving fund to grow to K53.35 million, which has been lent at concessional interest rates to 179 members, all of whom are successfully operating local income-generating activities with support from the project.
