The IFRC Asia-Pacific Regional Director and his team visited the Myanmar Red Cross Society’s humanitarian programmes in Sittway, Rakhine State, the society said.
The delegation met Red Cross volunteers and staff, visited a free mobile clinic providing primary healthcare at the Sayamagyi Camp, observed cash assistance for displaced people living in temporary shelters, and attended the opening of a children’s play centre.
The delegation included IFRC Asia-Pacific Regional Director Mr Alexander James Mathieu, IFRC Myanmar Representative Ms Nadia Khoury, Myanmar Red Cross Society Executive Director U Kyaw Moe Kyi, and other officials.
