Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, accompanied by members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected the progress of reconstruction work in Tonzang yesterday.
During an inspection of the Tiddim-Tonzang road, he instructed officials to improve drainage, construct culverts where needed, prevent rainwater damage and landslides, and ensure the road’s long-term durability.
At the Tonzang Township General Administration Department, he urged staff to follow laws and procedures, coordinate with relevant organizations and uphold the ministry’s reputation, while addressing issues raised by departmental staff.
He also inspected the town’s cyclone shelter and the Tonzang Township Hospital (50-bed), where he discussed operational needs with medical staff, reviewed outpatient services and preparations for inpatient admissions, and presented financial assistance and coffee packs to patients and hospital staff, according to official sources. — MNA/KZL
