THE Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a ceremony to disburse revolving funds under the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project in Htoepone Village, Shwepuhtoetaung Village-tract in Pindaya Township, Shan State, yesterday.
Head of the Danu Self-Administered Zone Department of Rural Development Daw Aye Aye Thein explained the project’s objectives, the purpose of disbursing revolving funds and its benefits. Pindaya Township Head U Aung Kyaw and the project officer then clarified interest rates, loan periods and regulations before handing over the K60 million revolving fund to the village project committee.
Under the supervision of the DRD officials and project staff, the committee members disbursed the K60 million revolving fund at low interest rates directly to 50 project members who will engage in agriculture in Htoepone Village, marking the project’s tenth round of fund disbursement.
