THE Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development opened a free livelihood-support training course on the production of organic fertilizer and EM solution yesterday at Namhlaing Modern Model Village in Myataung Village-tract, Mogaung Township. The course aims to create employment opportunities for rural residents and help increase family incomes.

State Hluttaw Representatives U Nay Lin Soe and U Myo Htike delivered opening remarks, emphasizing that such training programmes are organized to promote sustainable socioeconomic development and encourage environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Head of the Mogaung Township Department of Rural Development Daw Khin May Win explained the objectives of the training programme. Head of the Township Department of Agriculture U Kyaw Soe Aung then discussed the subjects to be taught during the course.

State Hluttaw representatives and departmental officials presented training materials and teaching aids to the trainees attending the programme.

A total of 20 trainees from Namhlaing Modern Model Village are attending the training course. Experienced instructors will provide free theoretical and practical lessons on organic fertilizer production, EM solution preparation, grafting techniques and modern cultivation methods from 8 to 10 June. — Karan (Rural)
