THE Small-Scale Industries Department under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Kachin State, organized a discussion and experience-sharing event aimed at promoting value-added production of local agricultural and livestock products and enabling MSME entrepreneurs to exchange experiences yesterday afternoon.
Kachin State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Ye Yint Swe stated that agricultural and livestock products from Kachin State should be combined with technologies provided by the Small-Scale Industries Department to produce value-added products for domestic and international markets.
MSME entrepreneurs attending the event then introduced themselves individually and presented the challenges they are facing in their businesses. The state minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary support measures and viewed the locally produced value-added products displayed at the venue. Entrepreneurs also exchanged experiences from trade fairs and competitions and discussed production technologies.
