Reconstruction efforts are underway in Falam, Tiddim and Tonzang after damage caused by Chin insurgents, according to reports.
Tatmadaw said relevant officials have been deployed to the affected areas to accelerate rehabilitation work in line with guidance from the Head of State after Tatmadaw regained full control of the towns.
Construction materials including cement, iron sheets and nails were transported by Tatmadaw aircraft from Mandalay yesterday morning, while relief supplies including household goods, kitchen utensils and personal hygiene items were sent from Nay Pyi Taw for residents returning to their homes.
According to reports, 10 tonnes of cement, 10 tonnes of corrugated iron sheets, 123 visses of nails and over three tonnes of relief supplies were delivered and these will be distributed to the respective townships.
