GUOKEE Bio-Tech Company wants to collaborate with Myanmar entrepreneurs to export dried ginger to the Republic of Korea and Konjac powder to Japan, along with providing technical assistance, according to Myanmar’s Commercial Attaché in Kunming, China.
Guokee Bio-Tech Company Limited, based in Yunnan Province, contacted the Myanmar Consulate General in Kunming, stating that they want to purchase dried ginger from Myanmar for export to South Korea.
The company wants to cooperate with Myanmar entrepreneurs who are currently producing dried ginger or who are interested in doing so, and will provide technology for drying ginger as well. Moreover, the company also wants to purchase konjac from the Myawady and Mawlamyine areas to process them into powder for export to Japan, in collaboration with entrepreneurs. The company will also provide training and konjac powdering methods. The company has already secured markets not only in China but also in South Korea and Japan.
Myanmar companies can receive better incentives when exporting. Guokee Bio-Tech intends to establish joint ventures with Myanmar entrepreneurs and export Myanmar goods.
