A total of six PDF members entered the legal fold yesterday. The handover ceremony took place at Tine Yan Aung Hall of Coastal Region Command Headquarters with the attendance of Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo, Commander Maj-Gen Kyaw Kyaw Han and other relevant officials. Returnees handed over one M4A1, one MA5 pistol, three magazines, 57 bullets and two MG-1 grenades.
Officials rewarded K5 million for one rifle, K2 million for one pistol, K300,000 for two grenades and K1.5 million per returnee. There are still individuals who wish to return to the legal fold.
Those who intend to do so are encouraged to promptly contact and report to the nearest Tatmadaw bases or police stations. They will be welcomed and accepted, provided with the necessary assistance and support, and cash rewards for any arms and ammunition.
