THE Thai Film Festival 2026 in Myanmar will be celebrated from 8 to 10 May at J Cineplex at Junction City in Yangon and three Thai films which are related to Myanmar will be shown, according to Thai Festival in Myanmar.
It is a preliminary show for the Thai Festival 2026 in Yangon, which is scheduled on 27 and 28 June. The Thai Film Festival 2026 in Myanmar is organized by Thai Embassy in partnership with GDH559, J Cineplex and Myanmar Airways International. At the event, the three Thai films namely Gohan, The Red Envelope and Friend Zone will be shown.
Booking code for ticket can be sought at www.thaifestivalmyanmar.com/2026/film as of 2 May and 60 per cent of seating for each showing time is available for reservation. Tickets can be taken out free at J Cineplex ticket counter with booking code for arrivals in 45 minutes before showtime.
The rest 40 per cent of seats will be provided free on a first come, first served basis from 9 am on 9 and 10 May. With opening ceremony, the showtime for Gohan is scheduled from 5 pm to 8 pm on 8 May and Friend Zone and The Red Envelope will be shown from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm on 9 May and 10 May.
