The periods of the past, though old and worn, have passed, and only the new continues to exist. In these new times, conditions must be created that will bring renewed strength for the nation in the coming year. Phase 1 of the recently and successfully held general election for multiple parties serves as a significant driving force, enabling Myanmar to continue advancing into the new year with fresh energy and renewed momentum.

The affairs of a just and fair nation concern everyone living within the country, and all the daily actions of its citizens are matters of national importance. It is the responsibility of every citizen to build upon the past and create better new initiatives. Through these new efforts, they must provide momentum to ensure the nation progresses in a positive direction.

The new must surpass the best of the old. Every individual’s actions should be directed solely toward ensuring the nation’s stability, peace, and prosperity. As citizens move toward their goals, they must overcome difficulties with unity of spirit and patience, forgiving one another. Differences in opinion should be set aside, and matters of shared importance should be addressed promptly, building cohesion, trust, and understanding. In this way, divergent views can be reconciled, mutually beneficial conditions created, and the nation’s lasting peace ensured through constructive efforts.

As long as the nation is not at peace, citizens will continue to bear the consequences of conflicts and hostilities across generations. Only by eliminating these negative impacts can the nation enjoy tranquillity and stand confidently on the international stage. In the new year, we should set aside personal pride and self-interest, focus on the nation’s well-being, and move forward together toward a brighter future.

As such, all ethnic groups have to cooperate and the government to develop their socioeconomic life with peace and stability. In line with the theme: Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal, not only the government but also the entire people, including different organizations, need to try to build a better State and socioeconomic lives for the sake of the nation and themselves.

Actually, the country has not enjoyed deserved progress yet. If individuals wish to develop the country, they have to follow existing laws, live in peace and unity, while all stakeholders have to participate in the nation-building endeavours in line with the motto: “The strength of the nation lies within”.
