Daw Win Kay Khine Aye, Chairperson of the New Empowerment National Party (NENP), presented the policy, stance and work procedures of her party through radio and television on the evening of 13 November.

Esteemed people,
I am Daw Win Kay Khine Aye, Chairperson of the New Empowerment National Party (NENP). Our party is a regional-level party representing the Yangon Region. I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes for health and prosperity to all people, esteemed party members, brothers and sisters, and friends. I also sincerely hope that the strong and unwavering aspirations for democracy, deeply rooted in the hearts of all our parents, will be fully realized.
I would like to present the policy, stance and political goals of our party to the people.
On 28 December 2025, the multiparty democratic general election will be held in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Section 7 of the Constitution states, “The Union practises a genuine, disciplined multiparty democratic system.” At this juncture, I would like to briefly explain the democratic system. There are two types of democracy: direct democracy and representative democracy. Most democratic countries in the world follow the representative democracy system. Under this system, citizens vote, and the representatives they elect exercise the powers of the state on behalf of the people. Therefore, elections form the fundamental cornerstone of implementing the democratic system.
Esteemed people, this election is a crucial moment for citizens to demonstrate their determination and wisdom, making it a transformative election. The governance system that we want to establish in the hearts of the people can only be changed through voting in this election. Elections are a vital process that allows citizens to fully exercise their rights and freedoms, and they serve as an important means for strengthening democracy while showcasing the resolve of the people.
Building a good and developed nation cannot be achieved by just one person, or one party system alone. For a country to truly progress, all members of society must participate equally and work together in cooperation.
In building a democratic nation, the political awareness and knowledge of the people are essential. One of the most challenging and critical tasks in a democracy is ensuring that the representatives elected by the people act responsibly, with sound judgment, knowledge, and integrity, on behalf of the people. Our party believes in the democratic system. We are committed to achieving democracy through democratic means. That is why we established the New Empowerment National Party (NENP), and we will participate in the upcoming election to represent the people.
We want the people to vote for the New Empowerment National Party (NENP) in this election. Politics should be conducted in a way that serves the interests of the people through coordination and cooperation. It is a historic duty that every citizen must fulfil.
I can see that in your hearts, you deeply desire every Myanmar citizen to fully enjoy basic rights, protection, and freedoms. If we want our country to progress, there are several actions that citizens must take together. The first and most important step is for the people to support and empower the representatives from a capable and well-established political party that can build the nation they aspire to. The second step is to nurture and elevate politicians who will always prioritize the interests of the people and the country, strengthening the democratic system. The third step is that if parties or politicians engage in misconduct or unethical behaviour, the people must hold them accountable, rejecting, criticizing, and correcting them. These are the key ways in which citizens can actively participate in today’s political reforms.
In building a Union based on democracy and a federal system, it is necessary to bring together all ethnic armed groups to halt internal armed conflicts through dialogue and negotiation. Without peace, both the cause of democracy and the progress of people’s lives will continue to be adversely affected. In our country, where diverse ethnic groups with different languages, religions, and cultures live together, everyone must enjoy equality under the law and fair legal protection. It is also essential to ensure that all citizens fully exercise their democratic rights, including freedom, belief, expression, protest, and the right to submit proposals. Even in a democratic nation, an organized and systematic governance mechanism is fundamental. Political parties may make promises during election campaigns, but if governance systems are not properly implemented, they will lose credibility, face public criticism, and fail to maintain trust.
It is evident to everyone today that strengthening democracy is neither easy nor simple; it is a complex and challenging process. We must carry forward the positive and negative lessons of the past, learn from our experiences, and patiently and steadfastly work to gradually transform the nation, step by step, into a state that fully upholds democratic standards.
I would like to present the stance of our party for the improvement of people›s lives.
For people’s lives to improve and prosper, it is necessary not only for the country’s economy to be strong but also for the value of each citizen’s productivity to be maximized. To develop the nation, there are many measures that need to be taken: ensuring sufficient electricity and energy production and consumption, attracting a steady flow of foreign investment, expanding export markets for agricultural produce, growing medium- and large-scale industries, and increasing domestic employment while reducing unemployment.
To achieve this, the government must not only provide opportunities through supportive laws and regulations but also avoid imposing overly strict economic policies that could hinder business and economic benefits. Private entrepreneurs, in turn, must fully exercise their rights to operate and ensure that their businesses are run efficiently and effectively.
All business owners must faithfully implement their businesses, contributing to the growth of the nation’s GDP. It is also extremely important to pay taxes properly and reliably so that the country can benefit. In their operations, government authorities must remain open, transparent, and impartial, prioritizing the public interest and the national economy rather than advancing the interests of any single party or group.
Our New Empowerment National Party (NENP) believes that, in order to defend and protect the Union, it is absolutely essential to have a modern, fully equipped, and world-class Tatmadaw with all the necessary capabilities.
The meaning and significance of the party flag are as follows: –
The blue background symbolizes stability, peace, and prosperity, as well as the unity of all people of the Union, reflecting the perpetuity of sovereignty.
The white star symbolizes the Union of Myanmar as a single, united country. It represents purity, integrity, and great compassion. It also signifies the ability to stand independently, shine with its own light, and steadily follow its chosen path with full energy and determination.
The yellow arrow represents unity, harmony, great wisdom, and genuine happiness. It signifies the collective strength of all ethnic groups coming together to support and uphold the great white star of the Union.
The green arrow symbolizes the nation’s abundant natural resources – land, water, forests, and agricultural areas – being utilized to develop and nurture the great white star of the Union, ensuring peace, prosperity, and a verdant, thriving environment.
The red arrow signifies the courage and determination to protect and defend the great white star of the nation from any threats or dangers that may seek to harm or undermine it.
The policies of our party place special emphasis on fundamental principles related to the national cause, democracy, the economy, human rights, and culture.
Under any circumstances, we will steadfastly work to promote peace, democracy, and the improvement of people’s lives, actively participating in the enforcement of the rule of law and the maintenance of peace and stability. I wish all the people may enjoy the peace and prosperity of the future nation.
