BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF 13 August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, and lower Sagaing regions and Rakhine, and northern Shan states, fairly widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Bago Region and (southern and eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining regions and states with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady, and Taninthayi regions and Kachin and Mon states. Degree of certainty is 100 per cent.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing and Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, and Shan states. The area along the cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance of these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along the Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along the Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in upper Sagaing, and Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Chin, and northern Shan states.
