ACCORDING to the observations at 5:30 pm MST today, the tropical storm “Wipha” over near the Gulf of Tonkin and it is likely continue to move to west-southwestwards and thereafter, it is likely to cross northern Vietnam with the remnants of the tropical storm “Wipha” may reach to Myanmar on 22 July 2025 and a low-pressure area may form over the North Bay of Bengal on 24 July 2025 and monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States with regionally and isolated heavy falls during today evening to 27 July 2025. Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 miles per hour. Wave height will be about 10-15 feet off and along the Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

People should be aware of natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, lightning strikes, lightning, hail, flash floods and landslides in hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
