People together with members from relevant organizations participate in rehabilitation efforts in damaged areas caused by the Mandalay earthquake.
Yesterday, Lt-Gen Thet Pon from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) observed clearing of debris at damaged Myo Yin Yin Buddhism Learning Centre, other religious buildings and public residential houses with the use of heavy machinery, preparations to rebuild Maha Zedihla Pagoda, and progress in reconstruction of temporary buildings at Laykyunmyay Brick Buddhism Learning Centre in Sagaing.
Likewise, Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) inspected removal of damaged parts of Sagaing Bridge (Inwa) in Thabyaytan Village of Amarapura Township, systematic clearing of debris at 4th and 5th spans of the bridge with deployment of skilled workers, machinery and technology by Myanmar Economic Corporation, and left necessary instructions.
He also viewed renovation of the damaged Shwekyetyet Hsutaungpyae Pagoda in Shwekyetyet Village in Amarapura Township and fulfilled the needs.
