The Myanmar Kabaddi Federation departed from Yangon yesterday morning for Thailand to coordinate participation in the Kabaddi event at the upcoming XXXIII Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The delegation included Myanmar Kabaddi Federation President U Kyaw Naing, Patron U Htun Lin Thaung, Vice-Presidents U Thant Ko Win, U Kyaw Zin Oo, U Kyaw Zeya, U Tin Htun Win, and International Relations Officer U Nyo Naing Win, totalling seven. Executive members of the federation were at the airport to see them off.

Kabaddi will be featured for the first time in the XXXIII SEA Games, with Thailand, a host nation, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Timor-Leste set to compete.

The Myanmar Kabaddi Federation was restructured in May 2025 with a total of 20 members, including three Patrons, one President, four vice-presidents, a secretary and a joint secretary.
