Director of the Public Relations and Psychological Warfare Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun received a delegation led by Mr Pavel Nikoleaevich Gusev, Chairman of the Public Council under the Russian Defence Ministry yesterday morning at the Defence Services Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) conference hall.
The meeting saw Deputy Permanent Secretary U Myint Kyaw from the Ministry of Information, officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and members of the Russian delegation.
Discussions focused on the strengthening of military relations between Myanmar and Russia, ongoing public relations activities of the Russian Armed Forces, youth exchange programmes and the possibility of the Public Council observing Myanmar’s upcoming general elections. Both sides exchanged commemorative gifts and poced for group photos.
Following the meeting, the Russian delegation toured the exhibition halls of the Defence Services Museum (Nay Pyi Taw), where officials provided explanations.
