Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win met a delegation led by Mr Uladzimir Baravikou, Ambassador of Belarus based in Hanoi, Vietnam, yesterday afternoon at the reception hall of the Ministry of Health.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in open discussions on enhancing cooperation in the healthcare sector between Myanmar and Belarus. Key topics included increasing the export and distribution of Belarusian pharmaceutical products and medical supplies in Myanmar, collaboration in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and signing memorandums of understanding to strengthen academic partnerships between medical universities in both countries for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. They also discussed facilitating the exchange of medical and pharmaceutical professionals and fostering cooperation between hospitals in medical treatment.

Also, present at the meeting were the deputy minister, directors-general of the Ministry of Health, representatives from the Honorary Consulate of Belarus in Yangon, and officials from the Ministry of Health.
