Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw has instructed the personnel to focus on efficient power generation based on the availability of natural gas.

The deputy minister said as above while meeting departmental officials at the Hlawga Gas Power Plant during his visit on 14 July.

Moreover, he also instructed to give priority to the maintenance of the staff’s living quarters with proper usage, to grow edible plants in the plant compound, to take continuous security measures around the housing and the plant, to be united among the government employees and to maintain a good relationship in the workplace.

Also, on the same morning, the deputy minister and his team visited the 230-kVA Hlawga Main Power Station in Yangon Region to ensure that the power plant can continue to generate electricity in a full and stable state, and power line connection is to be carried out safely and systematically within the prescribed period.

The total electricity generated on 15 July was 58,601.4 megawatt hours, according to the Ministry of Electric Power.
