THE group stage matches of the 2024-2025 ASEAN Club Championship are set to take place on 25 and 26 September, with Myanmar’s Shan United preparing for another away match.

On 25 September, Shan United will face Indonesian club Makassar in Indonesia. Other matches on the same day include Thailand’s BG Pathum United taking on Cambodia’s Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and Malaysian club Terengganu meeting Vietnam’s Thanh Hoa in Malaysia.

On 26 September, in Thailand, the Thai club Buriram United will compete against the Philippine club Kaya, while in Malaysia, the Malaysian club Kuala Lumpur City will face the Indonesian club Borneo. In Vietnam, the Vietnamese club Hanoi will go up against the Singapore club Lion City Sailors.

In their opening match, Shan United secured a narrow 3-1 victory against Thanh Hoa in an away game and are eager to maintain their momentum for a positive result in the upcoming match.

Shan United will take 21 players for the away match against Makassar, with Hein Thiha Zaw, Kyaw Ko Ko, Myo Ko Htun, Lin Htet Soe, Thet Wai Moe, and Zha Naya Thu being the players left out. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
