The government of Myanmar places great importance on its citizens residing abroad and strives to ensure their safe and swift return to Myanmar in the event of difficulties, regardless of the circumstances they face. To facilitate this, the Myanmar Consulate-General and Embassy coordinate with relevant embassies and ministries to ensure the safe repatriation of its citizens.
In such efforts, the Myanmar Consulate-General in Dubai worked closely with the Dubai police force, the immigration department, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization to help repatriate Ma Shwesar Noe, a Myanmar national who encountered difficulties while working in the UAE. That involved securing her outstanding wages, regaining her passport, and facilitating her departure. The Consulate-General also coordinated with MAI to issue an Out Pass, allowing her to return. Ma Shwesar Noe departed Dubai for Yangon on 22 September and arrived in Yangon at 10:15 p.m.
The Myanmar Consulate-General continues to assist other Myanmar nationals in the UAE who are facing hardships, ensuring their safe return. The Myanmar government, through its consulates and embassies, remains committed to assisting Myanmar citizens abroad who experience difficulties. Workers and their families have expressed sincere gratitude to the government, the Myanmar Consulate-General, and the Myanmar Embassy for their efforts in assisting those in need. — Nyein Thu(MNA)/TKO
