Villages boast lovely traditions and cultures, natural beauty and fine arts. Yaypokegyi village in Pwintbyu Township has been preserving Sanyitwine (top-knot with a circular fringe) for over 200 years.

All visitors to that village are pleased with its extraordinary ‘Sanyitwine’ hairstyle. There are only three villages in Myanmar that preserve such a traditional hairstyle. They are Khansatgon village in Natogyi Township, Setsetyo village in NyaungU, Mandalay Region, and Yaypokegyi village in Pwintbyu Township, Minbu District of Magway Region.

Myanmar also possesses natural springs, waterfalls, birds, and gardens, and the natural beauty, such as the enchanting tradition and culture of villages like ‘Sanyitwine’, is such a source of pride for the country. Therefore, everyone should keep preserving that hairstyle.
