A family of four, including an eight-year-old child and a dog, was found dead on 1 May inside their apartment on the fourth floor of the building in Yangon Region’s Sangyoung Township.
According to initial investigation results by the combined team, the cause of death was suffocation from generator fumes, in the unit enclosed, a generator running out of petrol and an air conditioner were found.
“Carbon monoxide emitted from the generator is bad, and the fumes from mosquito repellent coil and incense stick are also dangerous, especially for older people and young children,” said a resident.
Bodies were transferred to Yangon General Hospital.
