JAPANESE automakers are set to enhance collaboration in the competitive fields of electric vehicles (EVs) and automotive software, focusing on foundational technology development to maintain their global competitiveness.
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) has outlined its “JAMA Vision 2035”, which addresses the industry’s challenges over the next decade.
In the EV sector, Japanese automakers plan to collaborate on developing next-generation charging technologies to reduce charging times. They will also work on standardizing semiconductor and battery specifications and designing recyclable batteries to support sustainability.
