Russia has worked on recruiting Myanmar workers, said an official from Myanmar Overseas Employment Agencies Federation (MOEAF).
There is a plan that Russia will recruit foreign workers for their manufacturing and agriculture and livestock sectors, and some have now made preparations.
“Russia has trained language course for recruitment. It is under implementation as a new labour market. For recruiting workers in manufacturing and agriculture and livestock industries, Russia has taught their language in particular. Some have made preparation after interview. It is an employment plan working through agencies,” he said.
It is also a zero-cost employment plan and just some expense needs to be incurred, he added.
At present, majority of Myanmar migrant workers go to work in Thailand and Japan which are two major destinations, as well as in Singapore, middle east, China and South Korea.
