Addressing constituency questions, Union Election Commission (UEC) member U Khin Maung Oo stated that capital expenditure funds will be sought in the 2027–2028 financial year to renovate the Waw Township sub-commission branch office in Bago Region, following an initial maintenance allocation of K6.76 million in FY 2022- 2023. Deputy Minister for Sports U Myo Kyaw Thu explained development plans for sports facilities. He said estimated funding of K900 million has been earmarked in the FY 2027–2028 budget to construct a 150-foot by 20- foot two-storey reinforced concrete grandstand at Thaegon Township sports ground.
Additionally, a budget of K947.51 million has been proposed for the same financial year to raise the ground level, pave a 400-metre cinder running track, and build drainage systems to upgrade the Hmawby Township sports ground into a district-level facility. Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Maj-Gen Min Thu addressed post-conflict rehabilitation and public safety concerns. Regarding destroyed infrastructure and displaced residents in northern Shan State, including Nawnghkio, Kyaukme, Hsipaw, and Lashio, he stated that relief supplies, monthly cash aid, temporary shelters, and essential services are being provided, with over 360 schools reopened alongside operating healthcare centres.
He added that the government is assisting with reconstruction materials, issuing replacement citizenship cards and household records, and conducting mine-clearance and security operations to facilitate safe returns. Responding to queries on illegal toll collection at checkpoints in Mon State, the deputy minister affirmed that joint security teams are strictly monitored by regional administrative bodies to avoid impeding trade, and that legal action will follow any verified complaints. On officially designating four villages in Zeyathiri and Dekkhinathiri townships in Nay Pyi Taw, he noted that formal recognition requires following constitutional and territorial expansion procedures through the Nay Pyi Taw Council.
Later in the session, Dr Shwe Pyi Soe from Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) constituency tabled a motion calling for the enactment of policies, laws, and rules to safeguard national language, literature, culture, and traditional customs, which was seconded by Daw Than Than Aye from Thingangyun constituency.
